ABOUT TANNER

Tanner Holbrook is a senior at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana pursuing a double major in Journalism and Telecommunications with a concentration in News. On campus, he is an anchor, reporter, and the News Director for Ball State's award winning nightly news television broadcast, NewsLink Indiana. He has spent his entire college career covering stories across Delaware County, and the Indianapolis, Indiana area. He is also an anchor, associate producer and a founding member for Cardinal Weather, a morning show focusing on weather and lighter subjects.

In the summer of 2016 and 2017, Holbrook served as a news reporting Intern and the Assistant News Director for The Swick Broadcasting Company in Angola, Indiana. In the summer of 2018, Holbrook served as a reporting intern for Local 12 News WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Holbrook aspires to be a reporter at a television news station and cover stories that matter to the communities in which the station serves.

Report stories in and around Delaware County, Indiana and Ball State University as well as anchor NewsLink Indiana.

As News Director, I manage a news team, and am the student leader of our organization.

May 2016 - January 2018

This was an internship that turned into a job. As assistant news director, I organized and anchored newscasts for afternoon and evening. I reported original stories for Steuben County, Indiana and Williams County, Ohio.

LOCAL 12 NEWS WKRC-TV - INTERN

May 2018 - July 2018

At Local 12 News, I served as an intern for Good Morning Cincinnati. I acted as an overnight reporter and went out and gathered and produced overnight breaking news that would air on the show. I also assisted producers in writing for Good Morning Cincinnati.
